tremulous and tender

this is a soul;
utterly senseless somehow
and yet every sense winding together,
breath raising in tendrils like steam
but glowing and living in the night,
air twisting from our lungs and being exhaled as
translucent life sighing all around in the dark.
you are my phantom heart.

    this reminds me so much of ghosts. your writing is incredibly breathtaking, love. I almost feel like linking your blog to my front door, so that everyone could see it as soon as they stepped in. (that might be the oddest compliment I’ve given anyone in a very long time.)
