How on earth could women survive corsets?

Today we had a girls Valentines day party at my house, and we did our favorite girls-activity, which is making toiler paper wedding gowns. My mom brought out the mannequin and put on her hoop skirt and corset. We made some fantastic gowns and went to town on the embellishments.
